NESSOC is a non-auditioned group that meets on Tuesdays in St James's United Reformed Church, Newcastle.  Our orchestra and a choir usually meet on alternate weeks (check our Schedule page). Rehearsals start at 6:45pm, with the venue open from 6:30pm, and will finish by 9pm.

We play a range of music from both the stage and the screen, including:

• Film and TV music

• Songs from musicals

• Video game soundtracks

We want anyone to get the chance to experience the joy of singing and/or playing music. As such, there are no limits to who can join. Even if we have 20 clarinettists, we'll still accept more! We do use sheet music, so being able to read music will help. However, this is not required if you're joining the choir.​
